Yeah, people get so wrapped up in what they see on t.v. when in all actuality 95% of people don't need Winning gloves because, even boxing everyday, we don't put our hands through the abuse as true pro's who need the stuff. We really don't hit as hard. And yes, I'm speaking for damn near everybody here.

I think those thin bag gloves are pathetic. They are what 8oz 10oz? I ****ed my pinky finger with those.
Then I switched to twins 16oz and I ****ed my middle finger knuckle. Now with winning 16oz its ok still I'm going to x-ray my hand.

Well i'm no pro, but if you wrap your hands right and throw punches correctly you shouldnt have a problem with even cheap gloves. Like you said, we dont get paid to be in the gym working out hitting the bag, sparring etc 3 to 4 times a day.

yeah but there are gloves that are shaped so that you basically just hit with one knuckle (middle one). and when the padding sinks in then the other knuckles take some of the impact off. but basically the one middle knuckle gets all that punishment. ive had that problem with some gloves, you are being forced to punch that way otherwise you might break your fingers or wrist if you try to avoid landing with your middle knuckle. and then the knuckle gets sore, when you put some pressure on it with your finger it hurts like hell. then you have to sit out a couple weeks

i agree that you dont have to get winning gloves for that, the ringside imf techs also offer excellent protection. i think the klitschkos even use them. and theyre some of the hardest punchers. yet at the same time you see a lot of small guys with little punching power wear winning

i think it has some to do with the protection the gloves offer, the quality and obviously the fact that when you wear winning you kinda feel like youre better/faster/stronger than you actually are. of course you dont get faster by wearing winning gloves but you feel kinda special and thats what counts because thats important in boxing too. being confident and believing in yourself

at least thats my 2 cents. everybody feels different i guess

Guys are we confusing a contest glove for a training glove ??
A friend of mine used the Winning gloves for a while and said they felt like the best glove he had ever worn,in fact he went so far to say the winning gloves were the "rollsroyce " of boxing gloves ,i must say i tried them and they did feel a great glove on ,but all for my friend to slpit them a few weeks later when he was hitting buflex bob/man !
I dont know whether i would be happy paying that dough and that happening ...we did give him a fair winding up about it tho
