  • Ross Amber vs Kenny Weldon

    Which one do you prefer?

One teaches that weight should be on front foot and the other says it should be on the back foot. Which one is it?

gotcha! Russ. I have always thought your weight should be on your back foot and that you should be moreorless sliding from foot to foot.

Ok so far 2-0 for Kenny =)

Yeah I really didn't spell that name right and when I edit it won't apply. Anyway I meant the Russ Anber.

It all depends if your fighting in the inside (weight on front), outside (weight on back) or the type of fighter your going up against.

I disagree with both. It should be balanced and on your toes. But, if I had to pick from the two I'll take the front foot.

The reason why I think it should be balanced and not favoring one side over the other is because the opponent will clue in on that and they'll plan their attack on the side you're putting your weight on most.

Most folks will say the backfoot because a particular fighter who is currently on vacation awaiting his jail sentence likes to fight off the backfoot, but, that is one special fighter, no one else can fight like him.
