Hey everyone. Take some time to read my little story and see if any of you guys/girls can give me some input/advice. I'm really disappointed in myself for this!!
I'm 6'2", currently at around 225 pounds and serving in the US Army.
BEFORE I joined the Army, I was training at a boxing gym, getting some sparring in, running 5-6 days a week in the evenings...I was pretty active. I weighed 194 pounds.
UPON ENTERING the Army, I went up to 207 pounds by the time basic training was over. Then I went to AIT, and we got more freedom to eat whatever we wanted (ordering Chinese food, pizza, etc). Now I'm at my duty station in Texas and we have full reign to do whatever we want, pretty much. I ballooned up to around 225 pounds, and lemme tell ya...it's not all muscle. My belly jutted out and I'm lazier than ever. I can't seem to find that motivating factor that makes me want to be how I was back then, although I'm 100% aware that I SHOULD go back to the way I was. I'm starting to think that boxing gave me that kick in the butt to get out there and stay fit.
Is there anyone out there that's been through or is going through the same thing? I'd like some input from everyone. Also, 1 question...should I turn to fat burning supplements like Hydroxycut? I hear some bad things about them, so I'm kinda scared to go that route. Are there safer alternatives to fat burning supplements I should know about? THANKS!!
