Counter punchers tend to look good against brawlers, especially those with little handspeed or workrate.

Weaker against someone who is constantly using angles and moving. It is not very easy to counter if you are not set.
Stronger against people who don't do the above..
A strong counter puncher can deal with all of the above as well. You need to learn how to be a well rounded fighter. You need to know when to counter, when to push the fight, when to back off. If your just "I'm a counter puncher", you're going to struggle.
Of all fighting styles, not necessarily meaning it is 'harder', but a counter puncher vs counter puncher is a very intense chess match. Boring to watch though!

smart pressure fighters who throw alot of punches. a guy who throws sparingly won't beat a CP. Volume, coupled with speed is often a CP's kryptonite.

I generally am considered a counter-puncher, though I do lead occasionally. Personally, I hate competing against opponents who throw an unusually high number of punches. I'm a super hw, so it's rare that anyone in competition will throw more punches than the lighter guys I spar with, but I find it hard to effectively parry (I parry and block far more than I slip) multiple shots an then come back with my own shot.

I always found that a good body attack and quick movements is the best style.
Although overall the best way to beat a counterpuncher is to just make them as uncomfortable as possible, and throw off their rythmn.

It has nothing to do with styles, each fight is different. There have been counter-punchers throughout history that have had problems with pressure fighters and vice-versa.
