  • A great technique to learn

HOWEVER, GIVEN AN AVERAGE SKILL FOR A BOXER. COULD THIS TECHNIQUE BE EFFECTIVE AS A GOOD DEFENSE?

I can't stand that douchebag,I watched one or two of his videos IMO they're a joke,he's trying to teach everyone mayweathers style of fighting..just watch when he does his pad work even the defense.

His foot work training was the biggest joke.

IMO these videos are the best on YT.

That's the Title boxing instructionals with Russ Anber, the kid in the video is a young David Lemiuex. They made another set of instructionals for Rival boxing that are quite good too.

I don't like that Russ Abner teaches the jab without a step....

          russ headmovement

is not right...he had this kids legs locked..all that leaning at the waist is bad.especialy when u lean straight back.u need to bend at the knees n incorporate the legs into head movements....especially if u make someone miss n then want to counter, that way u can push off the bent leg and generate power from the floor, instead of just punching from ur torso if the only thing moving is ur waist...

ok. without sayin, how idiotic this trainer is. can an average boxer effectively applied this to his fight?

I think someone with average skill should first master the fundamental basics. As another poster already stated, Russ Anber's Title videos are great for learning. I don't believe Coach Rick is as bad as people on the forums say. I've learned a few things from watching his videos although sometimes he emphasizes style over substance.

those are advanced moves, far too complicated for a novice to execute during an actual fight

ahhhh coach ****. seems to be very popular among beginners. if you wanna learn this technique ask somebody who knows what hes talking about. coach **** (you have to be a desperate mother****er to call yourself "coach" in order to give yourself some credibility) knows less about boxing than most beginners who followed boxing but never actually done it
