Is 28 to late to try pro boxing! after 20 amateur fights? winning 15 of the 20 fights

No. Anybody can have pro fights, tons of fighters have turned pro at an older age or with less and in some cases non-existant amatuer backround. Do you really think all those tomato cans who just get's smashed around by the hot prospects had any good amatuer backrounds? I don't think so. At 28 and with 20 amatuer fights you can become a decent journeyman probably.... If you are asking if you can be succesfull and live of it full time, then I really can't say. Martin Rogan turned pro well into his 30's and have done good, and I'm shure there are other examples.

If you want to turn pro go ahead and do it, you don't need anyone's permission. You may have a good career, you may not. Nate Campbell turned pro mid 20s and he did well. I guess it all depends on the fighter. If you can sign with a good promotion company that can get you fights go that route. Some people who turn pro can barely get fights or decent fights. But if it's your dream, do your thing man. Shoot for the stars and live with no regrets.

Similar question.. could i start up boxing at 23 and do well with it in ams or as a pro?

I am pretty althletic and fast hands but i have zero experience and never been taught how to box. It's hard to find gyms in England.

Either you can try and you might succed or you can refuse to try and you will never know.

I don't think it's to late if you are dedicated and willing to work hard. You can fight amateur for a few years and then evaluate and decide if you want to go pro.

in all seriousness tho if you have some background and training and you really want to do the pros, why not? ive seen plenty of guys go pro with little to no amatuar experience, does it mean you'll be the next pacquiao and have multimillion dollar fight? mostlikely not.

i known a few guys who box to get a little side money nothing wrong with that at all. 28, 25, 23, watever it doesnt matter plus how many ppl can say "im a professional boxer"

ive sometimes wanted to try amatuars and work out at a boxing gym but i really dont have the time to do it all but ill figure something out in a year or two, ive always been heavy handed with a good chin but my stamina is **** and my knees are bad aswell, i could see myself ending up like yuri foreman vs cotto

go for it, and good luck to you if you do

just wondering, do you have to be of a certain skill level to turn pro or can literally anyone do it even if they are absolutely horrendous, i would have thought that someone would have to see you fight at least once
