  • I have this wierd problem

I'm most confident with my left hook and 2nd my right straight, and I feel I suck with the jab, however I find whenever I catch someone with a jab many of them get hurt really bad by it. Like their eyes roll up into their head and they get rocked even though it's just a jab, however my left hook and straight right I feeel are way more powerful but I don't get similar results. Why is that?

a jab can have decent power if you step in with it, maybe they don't expect it so they are caught unprepared?

I think the more you jab and land it the more comfortable you'll feel throwing it. Practice in shadow boxing, heavy bag, and especially sparring. The jab is the most important punch in boxing because it's sets up other punches. Don't neglect the jab even if you're good without it. When you go against someone that's a smart fighter and they realize you don't really jab or have a good one, that's a flaw in your game they can expose or take advantage of in the fight.
