  • Raw eggs

I hear different stories whether its good for you or actually bad.

I took two raw eggs for the first time after training today so I am just asking is it actually beneficial to drink raw eggs ? or is it actually bad for you.

I think the salmonella comes from the poo on the egg shell and not the egg just wash your hands and wash the egg to be sure you wont get sick. thats about all your looking at as far as being bad for you.

its not any healtheir then a hard boiled egg but fried or scrambeled are cooked with oil and other stuff. even hard boiled eggs you might want to have some mayo on making it worse then raw plus hard boiled eggs take up to 20 mins where raw eggs are real quick.

id rather eat hard boiled eggs then raw eggs.

Eggs are a good source of protein etc so its a good after training food, but just cook them. Eating them raw is ******.

Salmonella is always a risk with eating raw eggs.

The reality is though, the protein and nutrient content when the egg is scrambled is no different than if you eat it raw.

Eating Raw Eggs is just a machismo thing, there is more risk than reward in eating them

actually per the link in the post above yours you can asorb up to 50% more protien from cooked eggs and theres some kind of stuff thats bad for you in raw eggs that gets cooked out.

so its not just no diffrent but infact many times better to cook your eggs.

The salmonella is from the egg shell itself, as mentioned above with the poop.

If you plan on eating the egg just wash the shell first before cracking it.
