Facing you. Slightly lower your Forearm so your arms forms a 90 degree angle and lift your Elbow upwards and backwards at the same time. Your wrist is slightly turned so you land with the knuckle part, if its straight you'll end up slapping with it and might even break your fingers.
I usually throw it with the palm facing me. I have tried for a long time with the palm facing the floor but it just dosen't feel right and it aint as accurate, often it lands with the wrong part of the knuckle when i try doing it with palm down.
