Heavy bag stand with speed bag stand attached...do they work?

Are the speed bags still affective if they are attached to a heavy bag stand? I'm trying to get the everlast one that has both in one...what are your thoughts? Oh and how is a heavy bag when it's on your garage cealing? does it work fine like that or am I gonna need a bigger chain to attach it?

no they dont work,seperate the two,to hang your bag up in the garage get two metal plates made and bore out holes to make attachments on both sides of the beam,loop chain around fastening bolts and hang bag,
