    Getting Loose.

I've noticed that I have this problem whenever I am sparring somebody or hitting mitts.

The coach says that I am a little tight, while hitting, hence why I seem to get prematurely tired.

Does anyone know a good way to train in getting and staying loose and relaxed?

Anything will help, thanks alot, guys.

There's not really any special drills you can do. It will go away as you get more experience and time in the ring.

One thing you should be doing though is make sure you aren't squeezing your fists the entire time. Your hand should be open inside your glove while you're moving around, blocking punches etc and only close into a fist just before your punch hits it's target.

sometimes consciously telling yourself to loosen up helps. Shaking yourself out helps but tbh I wouldn't do that in the ring unless you're far away from the guy trying to hit you

Yeah, I normally keep my fists open while doing anything, including hitting bags and such.

So it only takes time, then?

        I guess i'm on my way. ;D

        Thanks alot, guys.
