I remember reading in an article by Bert Sugar back in 1991 or 92 that Liston used to stand on his head for several hours to improve the muscles in his neck. Other than that, I guess he just did the regular routine, with sparring, running and punching the heavy bag.
Liston is no different than most other fighters of today, I would look into fighters from today though considering all the new techniques and machines we use! Check out the little guys schedules because they are the ones who can fight non stop 12 rounds!
