  • Boxing and weight gain?

I've never tried boxing before but I am interested in signing up for it.

For the past year I've been working out at a gym. I'm 18 years old, 5'8 and 125lbs at the moment. I love fitness, but I find that there's a lack of 'competition' in the gym whereas a sport fills that void.

I want to know, with all the cardio, is it realistic to go into boxing and still gain weight?

    Thanks,
    Ab

I was pretty skinny when I started, and I gained 5-10lbs of muscle in 2 years. That's just from boxing, I don't life weights or anything.
