  • Should I continue with boxing?

I started boxing about 2 months ago, I started so I could lose weight and learn boxing. Although I enjoy boxing, and love the sport I feel more of a passion with other sports, such as baseball, football, and basketball. I've lost 15 pounds through boxing, but I don't feel as muc as a passion for it as I do with other sports, should I stop boxing and focus on another sport?

Yes I suppose. If you dont feel it in your heart and dont have a passion for boxing you wont be training hard and finding it fun. Do what you love and love what you do. Remember to transfer some of what you've learnt from boxing into other sports.

I am probably going to take the intensity and workouts from boxing, I love boxing, it's just I like team sports a little more.

Um well if you don't train 100% in baseball, it's not like you're going to get punched in the face repeatedly, you know what I mean?

        So I would suggest baseball.

If your heart is not in something, there's really no point in continuing with it. Specially something that if you slack off or lose focus, you can get seriously hurt!

If you enjoy the sport and the workout you get from it then I say keep up the training. You can still enjoy your other sports that you have a bigger passion for and do the sparring in your spare time. I myself enjoy gloving up and swapping punches though I participate in other sports, I will take the glove action anytime over my other favorites, what a great workout in the gym and in the ring.

Personally i feel that boxing is the best way to get or stay in shape. Nothing keeps you from boxing to keep in shape and practice other sports for the enjoyment of it.

I'm 26, the last time i had an amateur bout i was 19. I train my ass off and spar pretty often, everybody tells me i should be fighting but right now i have no intention to fight, i just love training and it keeps me in good shape plus hitting stuff keeps me calm.

there's that famous quote by Hagler where he says: 'if you cut open my head you'd probably find a boxing glove' to me what he is saying is that boxing is life. If you can't put max effort into it you may/will get hurt.
