I advise you to stop doing this because you are a moron

I suggest you wrap your hands to protect them ( I am not suggestiong spending hours wrapping your hands like Mayweather but look after them ).

The advice is, is stop punching bare fisted.. this doesnt make you tougher, you just look like homer simpson if you were seen punching wooden fences. What other boxer does that? What human being does that lol. I under punching a bag barefisted because theirs a elite group of morons doing it but wooden fences? Haha

Listen to your trainer, put in the work like your hero mayweather or whoever. Run daily, eat right and dedicate your self.

    I wish you the best

The reason you cant close your fist is due to those gloves you bought (those cheap lonsdale ones), because the fit is so poor you cant make a proper fist.
Thanks. When in shops, they offer special offers and you buy a punch bag they always offer punch mitts with the bag and not gloves. So i always thought mitts were designed especially for heavy bag work and were therefore better.

think about this: would this section be better with all the people throwing insults or with all the people giving ****** advice that can hurt others?

You'll just end up hurting yourself bro. You should just do knuckle pushups on carpet or some other soft material. If you havn't done knuckle pushups before, make sure you begin on your knees and ease yourself into the proper pushup position. If you continue punching your heavybag barefisted you'll just end up screwing up your wrist.

even with boxing gloves, the repetitive impact of hitting a bag will, over time, increase the bone density of your hands. Training with grippers will also strengthen your hand's tendons and ligaments and enable you to make a tighter fist.

But even then I wouldn't go hitting **** bareknuckle.. You'll have a hard time not being able to box for a few months with your hand in a cast if you get it wrong.

Even with gloves on you can get injuries still. If you hit focus pad or heavy bag wrong you can still injure yourself.

But going through all that putting on wraps and stuff, some people cant be bothered about sometimes.

of course you can still injure yourself, which is why boxers are trained to hit things properly.

Imo if you can't be bothered to look after your hands then you shouldn't be boxing. You're wasting your money and your coaches time when you can't fight for six months due to a hand injury

Totally agree. Do you reccomend grippers then? Are they the black plastic things with metal in the middle that you squeeze closed and open as many times as you can?

When i put my wraps on and gloves i still get a bit worried when i hit the pads. Suppose its because ive hurt my hand once when i hit one of the things you find at funfairs to see who has the hardest punch. The glove was ill fitting and as well as my poor punching tecnique, it was agony at the time.
