    does anyone here ever hit the heavybag barefisted??

    i do..it makes your knuckles harder but you just cant punch it as long

    When I first started I punched barehanded and all my skin on the knuckles was torn of and now I have a little darker skin on my knuckles.

        darker skin means tougher skin...its a good thing...i sometime punch wooden fences

          when you shoulder roll you have to keep your elbow tucked and bent..that arm is meant to protect you from the body shots..sad that i actually have to explain this

            Only person ive seen punch heavy bag barefisted is bruce lee.

                Its not a good thing because I couldn't punch for weeks and now it looks a little weird. Plus I don't know why you would want tougher skin, you box with gloves anyway.
