Are there any "important" or "common sense" tips that anyone can give me?

take your time getting use t the equipment,start of shadow boxing in front of a mirror for a coulple of weeks and get the feel of your hands,throw jabs combos,step side to side over and under throw combinations,then you are ready to hit the bag,hit the bag with an easy pace dont swing wild haymakers take you time,jab,jab,boom right hand down the middle,step to your left throw a hook step to your right throw an uppercut step back with a jab
