    Cutting no weight

I weigh 129-30 when eating well, training hard etc. For this tournament in a few weeks I was considering dropping a few lbs as I have done before to fight at a lower weight (125)

However I'm not like a lot of people who can drop weight easily off an already trimmed frame and sweat out even more. I don't carry much fat at all, and I am a really light sweater, for example the most I would drop on a run wearing a jacket over say 40 minutes would be a pound, maybe two at the most.

Anyway, I'm really thinking about not dropping weight at all, and fighting at 132 in a few weeks. I would have no worries about the weight, and I'd be strong and relaxed completely. All I would have to do is eat healthy.

I have dropped weight before, it was 5lbs, and it was to make 110 about 6 months ago. I had a hard time doing it, but made it. I was eating very little however, and it really drove me nuts and I felt my energy levels fade a bit towards the end of the fight.

I'm looking at pacman for an example, he isn't cutting any at the moment, and look at him. He is fighting better than ever, better durability, good stamina, he is looking great.

The thing is, I'd possibly be giving up a moderate size advantage to a guy that can drop down to 132 from say 140. But I've fought larger guys plenty of times before, so I should be able to handle it, but I know that extra size can be the difference especially if he's a good fighter.

So I think that the benefit of me having no worries about the weight and being 100% hydrated and strong will override the possible disadvantage facing a guy who may be a bit naturally bigger.

    What do you guys think?

Also, for reference, here is a photo of me last year in shape (about 112lbs)

I'm much heavier now because of growth, bigger in the arms, chest and such, but I've got similar overall definition and bodyfat levels right now. So that gives you an idea.

I'm 5''7, have a reach of about the same, maybe a little longer.

Thanks, I'm about the same ripped now, just overall bigger because of normal growth (im 16)

everybodys body is diffrent so its impossible for anyone to predict how u will feel taking the weight of. all i can say is u didnt look like someone who should cut too much weight in that picture u showed. u say u did feel drained last time at 125 so i would try the new weight if i was you, just test it out. dont do it in a big tournament though, wait for something local to come around and see how u feel. also what style do u have? if u are a pure boxer u might do better against the bigger slower guys with all that new energy from not cutting weight. if u are a brawler u will struggle against a naturally bigger man.

I'm similar to you I weigh like 130 would have a hard time dropping if I wanted to. If I can drop I will when it comes up but I would still have a size advantage at 132. But if you think your gonna be drained at 125 you might just have to fight at 132
