  • Advice?

I'm a single father of 2 very young girls, and while I have time to train with them nearby, roadwork is almost certainly out of the question. My parents watch them overnight once a week, so I suppose I could do my roadwork then, but would it be beneficial only once a week? I doubt it. Are there any alternatives to roadwork that can help me achieve the same level of stamina?
Thanks in advance. You gentlemen have a great online community going here...

    How about a treadmill?
It's a good alternative if you can't get out.
    Good luck!

The point of roadwork is to get your heartrate up for an extended period of time, improving your endurance. You can get the same type of workout with a stationary bike (or a treadmill but they're more expensive and take up more room).

Should be able to get a used one for cheap from craigslist or a garage sale.
