  • Pushups to lose weight?

    How effective are they in losing weight and ****. Im not running right now cuz my foot is still messed up after stretching some ligiments.




    But im doing pushups on a PERFECT PUSHUP thingy. ANyone here try it?

    it may do.

    try at least 10 clap push ups, then take break for at least 3 or more seconds by walking fast, then 20 sit ups, walk fast again. do it in 30 mins..you fell your cardio worked up.

      Push ups aren't going to get you anywhere in terms of weight loss. You need cardio, good eating, and more cardio and good eating. It's the only way. But since you can't perform much cardio with a messed up foot, doing push-ups wont hurt as long as the push-ups are done fast and explosively and not slowly. If you do them slowly it diminishes your speed and increases the slow-twitch muscle fibers rather than the fast-twitch ones needed for boxing (unless you're not training specifically for boxing and you just want nice muscles). Good to see you still feel the need to be active even while you're injured. Good luck.

        Depending on the seriousness of your foot injury, ill just wait till it recovers or you may even want to try swimming unless you got a bandage around it

          Might make an impact if you get into doing hundreds a day but it's hideously ineffective and will mess you up pretty quick.

          Can you walk or swim? Long daily walks are a good way to lose weight.

          Look up the 300 home workout on yourtube (there's about 12 variations i think) - see if you can make your own routine with lower body exercises you can manage, like bodyweight squats?

              yea change by body type. my brother did this before. he was fat and then started off doing push ups gradually. he got up to doing 200-300 a night 7 days a week, he ate whatever the hell is wanted it was insane, he is 6''0 and weighed 155 lbs. We all thought he had worms lol

                rofl. that sounds like me. Except I'm between 160-165lbs at 6 foot, and I can eat whatever the fug I want. The goods? I can eat whatever the fug I want. The bad? It's nearly impossible for me to get big. But I do a lot of lifting and I got like a body builders body in a 165lb frame. It's crazy. When I was boxing though, I was like a perfect Kelly Pavlik clone. I have a huge back with long arms and got great leverage on them. But it ****** when dudes I sparred with got in close.

                  Pushups wont help you lose weight.

                  If you want to lose weight eat the right foods. All the information is right in front of you on the internet.
