Nothing is wrong with having goals that might seem impossible to others. If you give everything, you can achieve it. Not having goals, life is boring. Not believing, life is boring. You have to have goals, to look forward to something, you know. Not just say "oh I can't do it."

Bullrush, set up some goals and don't come trolling here on BoxingScene telling people they can't do this or that.

Did Hopkins actually start late or what? I don't know much about his early career and when he started.

yeah, makes a lot of sense you mental ******...
i think about 500 million boxers believe theyll be world champions. how many world champions do we have? grow up you moron, youre not gonna beat math. youre a child, you still believe in fairy tales. go ahead and believe in something that you have 0% of achieving. believing doesnt help you **** if you dont have the skills, talent, luck etc. to make it far in boxing. youre better off trying to be the best that you can possibly be.

by the way if you ever win a world championship and youre on HBO or something feel free to call me out

i dont "know". if you dont understand that there is virtually no chance that anybody in here will ever be a world champion then i feel bad for you. its reality. however miracles do happen. maybe we do have somebody in here with a great amateur career going who has the skills, talent, right coaches to coach him up and all that to become a world champion.

but again if you dont understand that its almost impossible that anybody in here will become a world champion then i dont know what to say. im not trying to piss people off, its just reality. and i dont think believing that you will be a world champion really is gonna help you become a world champion. like i said you can easily become a world champion by just trying to be the best you can be and push yourself and give a 110% all the time. it doesnt take you to believe that you will win a world championship for you to become a world champion.

ali even said he didnt believe in any of the stuff he said during his career before he was the greatest that he would become a champion an be the greatest and stuff like that. and how the hell did sonny liston become a world champion? that guy strictly fought for money, he didnt give a **** about boxing. if he could have made more money by counting ants in his backyard then thats what he would have done instead of boxing

Dude, I'm so sorry. Are you new to boxing? You don't need to have a great amateur career to achieve in boxing? So you're saying that all our champions went to the Olympics, became world amateur champions, and all that?

i think a lot of them didnt even give a **** about boxing or titles. i mentioned a couple guys already. what about mayweather? you think he got into boxing because he believed hed be a world champion? hes in it for the money. which is why hes ducking manny who threatens his legacy if he loses that fight, that would cost him lots and lots of money in his future bouts. if you pay the guy 31 mil. for a non title fight against some chump and 30 mil. for a title fight against pacman hes gonna take the non title fight.

and im not trying to crush anyones dreams. if you believe you will be a world champion and if that works for you then more power to you. i think theres a lot more stuff thats way more important than believing in something. without the other skills and a little luck here theres like zero chance you will make it. you can however become a champion if you give a 110% percent without really tellling yourself you will be a world champion one day if you have those other skills, talent. it doesnt take you to believe in something to achieve it. there are countless examples over the history of boxing that prove my point

You're twisting your words around, my man. You said no one here will become a world champion, meaning you know that no one here has no skills or luck. Now you're saying it doesn't take just beliving to become a world champion.

Can you just tell us why no one here will become a world champion when you don't know anyone here?

no i didnt. read again. i said something about great amateur career, i didnt say you have to win everything, become an olympic gold medalist in order to become a world champion. youre making dumb points

i think were done now. i just have a different point of view, a more realistic point of view. thats it. if you think believing takes you anywhere in boxing or just in life period then good luck. you know maybe you should become a teacher or something. teach ******s with an iq of 10 that if they beleive they can become rocket scientists that it will happen. they just gotta believe in it...
