  • sparring with/without contact lens

as some of you may already know, sparring with lenses is a pain in the a$$ as they always fall out or get moved around the pupil...

would you recommend me taking them out when i spar, or would it negatively affect my hand-eye coordination and/or technique..my vision is pretty bad without the lenses, where i can see my opponent but not how many fingers my trainer would be putting up, for example, if he's on the other side of the ring...

    thanks for any advice

id take them out if youve got such a hard time with them

i wear em too but only when i have to (in the car). luckily short distance wise my eyes are excellent so i just leave them out when i train, i dont even put them in the entire day. also mine have never fallen out maybe you should try different ones? they shouldnt fall out when you get punched. i mean they do move a little but that goes away after like 1 second again

Maybe you can try this Everlast Safemax headgear? It's supposed to be similar to the popular Winning headgear.

Can't really comment as I do not wear contact lenses, but my advice is to go along with what feels comfortable and best for you.
