  • How to lose weight effectively?

What should I do to lose weight, yet still have enough energy for boxing.
My current diet goes as such:
Breakfast- eggs with wheat bread, or oatmeal, or buttered bagel, or grilled cheese with bacon.
Lunch- BLT sandwhich, or a salad with chicken, or a chicken sandwhich.
Dinner- Chicken/ steak rice and beans, chicken low mein, lasagna, pasta, or chicken/ steak with mash potatoes.

I usually have breakfast and dinner with a glass of chocolate milk, Lnch with Tang, or water, and I have a around 10 glasses of water a day. Any help would be appreciated.

In addition to whatever anyone else might say, you might want to take advice from my post here some time ago:

I went from 270 to about 210 in four months in 2007 from going with that and have kept it off ever since.

When you are losing weight, you should exercise and diet together. If you exercise without dieting, you will get bigger appetite, which will lead to increase of weight, or muscle grow underneath the fat layer, and make you bulkier. If you diet without exercising, you will become flabby and will have excess skin. For diet, go wheat free.

          good job buddy!

but you know eating 6/7 small meals in the day just doesn't satisfy me. I think when i lose my weight, ill go back to eating larger meals again.. does the stomach actually shrink? its not happening to me after 4 days...

When I was/am on my diet, I only ate once a day, moderately large. Not too large, but large enough to be satisfied. And yes, my stomach shrunk big time, probably in a period of a week or two. When fat, I used to be able to eat two foot-long Subway meatball subs plus a bag of chips and two cookies on top of it and still be somewhat hungry. After a week or two of going on my diet I could barely finish one foot-long sub alone. There are other examples I could give but I think you get the point. Yes, your stomach does shrink. Well, at least mine did, on my plan (once a day, mid day). Plus the nice thing is that after two or three days of being on it, you actually stop getting hungry. Literally, you barely want to eat even that once a day. Might not work for everyone and it certainly isn't the healthiest way to lose weight but it worked like a charm for me.
