Sledgehammer + Tire = ???

  • Sledgehammer + Tire = ???

    Would hitting a tire with a sledgehammer be a good workout? Like the chopping wood motion, that golf swing Rocky Balboa did in...Rocky Balboa, etc.?

    I think it would.

    De La Hoya did it, and I think a lot of other boxers do it as well.

    And I believe it works on your core.

          Sledgehammer + Tire = one fun exercises ever.

          Its strength and conditioning with great fun! Works the core primarily, but also works the arms too.

                Earnie Shavers recomends it for punching power. Says it works all the muscles you use when punching.

                  Sure it is. But that's old school, today we have better sport specific exercises. If that's all you have in your gym, bang away!

                    Alot of MMA fighters use that exercise to gain punching power.
