    Any alternative to chin ups?

Im going to TRY to start P90X tomorrow and I was reading and saw that chin ups are a part of the routine. Is there any alternative that anyone knows to chin ups?

That would be the opposite, no?

We are having a great pulling exercise against a great pushing exercise.

True, though it works pretty much the exact same muscle groups and I assumed if he didn't have access to/can't do pull ups then any other kind of pull is ruled out also.

Perhaps you have one, but I'm yet to hear of a good reason for a boxer avoiding chin/pull-ups. There are few better basic exercises for a fighter.
