  • Ok, wassup. 3kg in 8weeks

    well i got a bout on september 11th, im currently 3.5kg off my fight weight. i aint in training now but gonna start july 11th. which is around 8weeks before the fight

    how should i go about losing 3.5kg in 8weeks in a healthy way. meaning how many kgs should i be loosing weekly?

    3.5kg is pretty much 8lbs, so if you're doing 8 weeks of training you'll probably want to be losing about a pound a week. This can be achieved by having a calorie deficit of 500 each day (burning off 500 calories more than you consume), seven days a week. You'll have to monitor everything you eat to make sure you're doing things right.

    If it was me, I might want to burn a bit extra just to be sure (metabolic rate differs from person to person), but providing you regularly weigh yourself to make sure you're on course, you should be fine.
