Happened to me in my 1st and 2nd month of boxing classes. Guess it was just the pain of all the roation and stretch of your back, after throwing hundreds of jabs and straights...
I'd say rest, painkiller if necessary, then go back training. Your body will get stronger.
If the pain doesn't go away, however... to the doctor you go
