    Oh, he has.

And what the hell are you talkin' about "steppin' off", lol, motherf**kers try to be different but end up sounding stup*d(not you, but you know, them "street dudes") it's called pivoting, man. So, basically he countered a lead hook and pivoted to his left.

Countering a hook with a hook of your own is boxing 101, it's not the only way to counter a hook, but, it's usually the counter of choice.
^^^ what he said, its just a counter hook basically.

Ive never even heard of a check hook until that mayweather - hatton fight where steward called it that.

Yes, Floyd was asked after the fight about that punch and he said it was a check hook, and he learned it in the amateurs in Michigan.

its not just a hook, u use the natural hip movement when throwing a hook to pivot and move out of the way and landing at the same time. its very simple but great to use.

floyd never acted like it was original, in fact he said he learned it in the amateur ranks back in the day.

its a simple but great move, i use it often usually when finishing up a combination. and yes i did it before the mayweather-hatton fight, didnt know the name of it though.

Yeah, I practice it and I use it when I get real comfortable.

Only on the southpaw side though. I feel like I'm forcing it on the orthodox side, so I don't use it on that side.
