    i've had 2 knees reconstructed.

10 months if you do your rehab. take it slow jabman, i did my second one by overcompnsating, make SURE you rehab very well and wait until your reconstructed knee and the muscles around it are as strong as the other leg.

i am the shining example of what not to do. i came back to early, slacked on rehab and thought I could make up my own program, POP good acl went down my 3rd day back.

I feel you on that... Had mine done and reason I had a good recovery is I rode that bike like Armstrong and worked on that leg A LOT.... No skipping, jumping, running, twisting,... none of that **** for almost a year.
