Walk him down and cut off the ring... when he moves to ur left, you move to ur left, and step forward... if moves to ur right.. you move to ur right and step forward. Cut off the ring, and make him go toe to toe.

Also try to anticipate that jab and counter with a right hand over the top..

when he moves to your left, shoot that straight left to his body, when he moves to your right hit him with your right hook.

If you're a southpaw, try using your jab hand as a blocker to his jab... hold out your arm a bit, use your glove and extend it out a bit, and paw at his lead arm.

Don't let him see a clean target to your face, instead block his site with your lead glove.

You see what I am saying?

A bit hard to explain it...

You wanna use your lead hand to block, jab, and parry his jab... use it as a tool.

Your lead arm can do more than just throw a jab..

carefull when u say paw reed...if one paws its easier for a setup...i'm sure u know what ur sayen and ur right..but pawing is bad term...simply turn ur hand over to catch it..if one paws or swoops a fake jab gets the pawing then u get cracked lol...but ur right i jus dont want anyone to think its ok to swoop or paw at somethan..simply turn the hand over and catch..
