    i hear that if you do to much obiques they get big and then if put on some fat it just makes your love handels stick out fruther and fruther. to avoid this most of my exercises involving my obliques are quick light weight exercises more in the way of providing endurance and speed. though the obliques do have a use in strengthening them by being able to take body hits to the side better so to make up for that i do alot of exercises to strengthen my serratus anterior and intercostals like shrugs and rope pulls which help make my ribs alot stronger and serves the same role as strong obliques.
