  • Anyone fought lately?

When was your last fight? If so how did it go?

    I'll start.

I fought about a month ago vs a guy with 11 fights, and about 12lbs heavier, and I beat him on points.

I also fought last night, vs a guy with only 4-5 fights, but he was heavier and 21 years old (I'm 16) He was pretty awkward and waited for me, I tend to have trouble with that, I lost the first round, second round I figured him out a bit better but probably just got edged, third I felt like I had him and landed cleanly.
It ended up as a split decision going his way.

Edit: ]Turns out the guy had actually had 20 fights. And recently lost at a qualification for an international tournament. So I gave away 10 fights experience 5 years in age, 5-6lbs of weight. Pretty happy.

I thought he seemed pretty confident and relaxed for a guy who had supposedly only had 5 fights (error in communication between us and the matchmaker, they thought we already knew) but I chalked that up to the fact he was so much older then me and would have been confident. And my trainer said he might have spent ages in the gym. But yeah, pretty happy now I found that out.

How about anyone else? How did your last fight or couple of fights go?

I just fought today and gave away 6 lbs, the guy was strong as ****. got me with a good couple shots in the first round. But then I beat him in the next too. He threw all he had in the first, and gassed in the other rounds. I dont want to give away anymore pounds anymore, he was so strong

Yeah, giving away weight can be hard but sometimes it has to be done to get fights

Man, the dude I fought last night was like a full grown man lol, I just turned 16. But the tough matches pay off in the end.

Well I havent had any fights yet, sparring a bit, but i need to get in a little more time in the gym.... But I felt like adding something to this so the last street fight I had was a few weeks ago, dude was about 6'2 180ish maybe and Im 5'11 188, he was talkin **** and I told him dont mess with me and he kept talkin and I told him to shut his mouth if he didnt want to get hit, and he said hed slap me, I told him do it... He tried to, I caught his hand... And then I blew his **** out... He didnt hit me back, I didnt expect him too laying on the floor lmao... It was like Mike Tyson vs Marvis Frazier, real talk!

          Fought a couple hours ago.

Guy was about the same size and experience (my 18th fight I think it was his 17th). I won a split decision. I thought it shoudl've been unanimous. I won the first two rounds, third was close. I pounded his body all night long. He somehow dug real deep and found a little extra energy at the end of the third and hit me with some good clean shots.

I also fought last weekend vs a guy with around 50 fights who was bigger and stronger and I had been kinda sick all week so I was worried going into it. I controlled the whole fight and won but it was another split decision. Not sure how one judge could've thought he won the fight, but I got the win and that's all that matters.

tell me about it man. I fought a golden gloves champ who had 16 pounds on me in my 7th fight. tough sd loss, but learned from that more then anything. the dude was 6'1 and im 5'7 lol.

I last fought at the national championships this past febuary. Ended up losing to the silver medalist in a razor close decision. 2 points differance the final score though I was convinced I had it won. what can ya do.

Im fighting may1 against a 2x national champ from my area, and then may8 but do not know who against.

Nice man. You sound like you've had some similar experiences to me.

Fought on Friday and won a unanimous decision. Trainer told me would have to keep the pressure on because the judges didn't seem to be giving out club anything and I would have to win decisively. So went out their and did what I could, outworked the other guy and hurt him a few times. However he was tough and kept coming for more. Good fight overall.

Thanks. I'm 22 and I usually am 160lbs. Was a bit heavy for the last two cause I was sick lately and couldn't train hardcore.
