  • Helping Joel Julio...

I have been helping Joel Julio here at a gym in South Florida for his up coming fight with Angulo.

I will try and get some pics and post them here soon. He's a good guy.

That would be nice. Heard of him but just now checked his record, lot of fights for a 25 year old.

LOL no I'm not a promoter just an assistant trainer at a gym learning the craft under a good teacher. I get the privilege of meeting lots of pro boxers and MMA guys and sometimes even get to do a little sparring with them.

They don't like me taking video for some reason, every pro is like that but I can get some pics in.

Yes he has a lot of fights and been in a lot of wars. I last saw him fight with James Kirkland before Kirkland got into that trouble.

YEa I have been a trainer now for about 6 years or so. I learned from some really good guys and I just love working with young kids that want to get into the amateurs.

I don't train pro's but I assist with them and work the corner for some when I get a chance. I just came back from Puertorico and did a fight card down there.

I'm in my 30's so my time is over but I can still hold my own in sparring and I try to do that as often I can. I did a little sparring with Jean Pascal last year, nothing hard, about 50% but it was really fun to see how fast and strong these pro's are.

It's funny you say that because I always like to make my young fighters spar guys that are much better than them, not just so they can learn but so they won't get hurt.

You get two young guys that don't have experience in there and they don't understand the meaning of TAKE IT EASY and someone ends up getting KO'd...lol

I can't tell you how many times I have had to wake a fool up off the canvas because they are swinging like there's a million dollars at stake.
