Are you exercising? If not, yes, you will, because inactivity and eating will always equal weight gain.

You could eat nothing but lettuce and apples and you'd still put on weight if you ate large quan****** of them. Consuming calories causes you to gain weight period. Look at cows, who eat nothing but vegetation.

remember fruit has calories and if you put more calories than you burn off you will gain weight

In theory you're right, but I doubt anyone could eat enough apples and lettuce to actually gain weight, if they ate that exclusively.

"Consuming calories causes you to gain weight period" - Not true. Consuming MORE CALORIES THAN YOU EXPEND causes you to gain weight. Big difference.
The cow analogy is bull... the modern fat cows you see today, basically have nothing to do with a natural animal. They're fed a number of things, do nothing but eat all day, to be fattened up, and they consume a variety of things (even cow and sheep parts!).

You are talking about cows that are mass farmed and are fed all of that ****. On small farms they are fed only grass, hay, and sometimes oats. I myself have horses and I know that if you feed them excessive amounts of hay they will get fat.

Yeah, you could. That's why only a certain amount of servings per day are suggested.

Hey buddy, you need to eat 9 pounds of apples to get 2100 calories a day!

You need to eat 17.5 pounds of lettuce a day to get 2100 calories!

Now at 2100 calories, not a lot of people would gain weight. How many people do you know who could eat, say 4.5 pounds of apples and 8.75 pounds of lettuce EVERY day? And to really gain weight on this "diet" ( ) you need to eat a lot more.

They're still being fed an maount that is meant for them to gain weight. That is WHY FARMERS have cows. To make as much meat as possible, which means unnatural overating, no matter what size the farm is. Oh, and people aren't cows, in case you didn't get that from my previous post. Our diets are vastly different and foods affect us differently. Like I said: YOU HAVE TO CONSUME MORE CALORIES THAN YOU EXPEND TO GAIN WEIGHT. It's that simple.
100 grams of White bread has almost 6 times the calories of 100 grams of apple, so worrying about eating too much fruit is dumb, plainly put.
