    ...developing reflexes???

What I mean is that sometimes I spar kickboxers and other hybrid martial artist and I feel like that helps me to deal things thats new and it gets me sharp.

Anyway for those who do, how do you enjoy it and do you get anything out of it???

Great for self defense, bad for boxing (pure sport).

When you do this too much, wouldnt you adapt your technique to the point of almost MMA and not strictly boxing? Just saying, you will never respond to a kick or any kind of takedown in boxing, so why learn to react against it?

True but I feel like it keeps things fresh from time to time ( not regular basis) and you learn things from other martial artist too.

For example the flexibility training the kickboxers/karate guys do helps my footwork, balance and lateral movement.

Another is that the grip training the judo fighters do helps keep the hands/wrist strong and thus it avoids hand injuries.

I feel things in that nature helps boxing indirectly and it can be creative as well taking drills from other martial arts as well as sparing them

I didn't consider that, it would give you a huge benefit to mental clarity and lucidity and the ability to discover yourself more in the form of boxing as an art, plus, that attitude continues your learning.

Good thinkin, and eitherway, as long as it works for you, dont stop. Results vs. Theory, guess who wins?

I often spar with kickboxers, since kickboxing is much more popular (and thus at a higher level) in the Netherlands than boxing, unfortunately..

I used to love to spar other combat styles. I would just box them, but let them do whatever. Muay thai guys used to kick me in the back of the lead leg all the time. Then I learned to just rush them when they try. The karate kids tried once and it was embarrassing. The words black belt will never impress me again. lol

i spar other techniques and styles all the time since i train at an mma gym...i find it helps them more than I...i understand where it helps u and i for sure but mainly footwork is the help there wich is nice..but one will find most those guys are nowhere near the level of technique boxing wise that one should b in...train w em like u said time to time its cool and helpful for sure but not for ur hands as much as ur feet
