Just for fun, and considering the fact I am bored at work, I have a completely hypothetical (and could imagine incorrectly thought) "boxing for self preservation" question.
I'm under the impression, that the ideal way to fight, in a life or death situation, would be a mix of boxing with a heavy reliance on track and field. Or as I like to call it, "Run Foo!" or, as it is also know, "Peace the heck out he has a knife and I'm too pretty to be scarring my face."
Also, considering most confrontations last anywhere from 3 seconds to at maybe max, around 20 seconds, this doesnt leave alot of time for getting him to react to your feints, and setting him up for the counter left hook, and not to mention his buddies running up to you and cracking you over the head with a bottle, you get the idea.
So my question, which fighters were dangerous from the opening bell? The ones that could do the most amount of damage in the littlest time? Maybe not the best boxers, but the ones who could knock down a fresh boxer in the first few rounds, even if they wern't very well refined in the sweet science.
So far I've been looking at names like Shavers, Tyson, Foreman. Can anyone else thing of others I should be watching?
