  • Ringside IMF or Lonsdale gloves for sparring?

Up until recently i was using the everlast protex gloves for sparring which i actually liked because i have small hands and they fit nice and tight inside (like they surround my hand perfectly) until a trainer said i couldnt use them for sparring because they weren't leather

point is, i'm lookin for a pair of gloves that would fit nice around my hands... i have the title gel 16oz but since my wrists are small and the gloves are wide i constantly find myself trying to push my hands farther into the glove in the middle of sparring to get a good grip inside, and have actually hurt my wrist wearing these gloves...
i was considering either the ringside IMF gloves in elastic or a pair of lonsdale because i hear they fit real good and not loose like the title gels do (for me atleast)... any help is appreciated thanks!!

Give us more details bro. I am 5' 9" and I stand comfortably at 137-142 lbs. I have the IMF techs in lace and they are very nice. After a good time sparring, I notice the tips of my fingers get numb as if they were cutting off circulation. This may also be the case if you have really long fingers like me. Hope this helps.

well im 5'4 132-137 lbs, and eventually will be goin down to the 120's but im a small dude... i wouldnt want to get a pair of reyes to spar because i wouldnt want to hurt my sparring partners... i dont see the joy in that... if i ever go pro then maybe, but for sparring no...

@perverted, what about the glove would you say causes the numbing of ur fingers? i dont necessarily have long fingers..

you could always get the everlast protex in leather. they are far superior than the ones you have (artificial leather). much better padding, better weight distribution, better inner material, etc

Ringside IMFs and Lonsdale Molded Foam gloves are the same thing.

If you have small wrists don't get elastic gloves because they can't be done up very tight so they don't offer much wrist support. I guess I have average size wrists and I don't like the lack of support one of my pairs of gloves has. They'd be big problems for someone with small wrists.

But they were free so I don't complain too much
