How often should you train abs?

    Alternating days, like Mon/Wed/Fri?

Or every day, Monday through to Friday?

I have heard both but I think of it this way, your stomach muscles are muscles all the same so I treat them as any other muscle in the body: train every other day to avoid fatigue and over training.

I been training for over 5 years and I still cant get a 6 pack, I can feel it but I cannot see it. Ima try that electric belt looking thing that is supposed to give you a 6 pack quick, and supposely trims your waist a couple of inches too.

Do you do a lot of cardio? It is just fat hiding your abs if you are working them on a regular basis.

Cardio is like 85 % of my focus, I do alot of running with 10lb ankle weights, and alot of jump rope. I think the only time i work on my abs is during sit ups.

I even wear 10lb weighs while sparring, and shadow box with 2 lb weighs in my hands. I must admit I do 600 sit ups Mon, Wed, Fri(per day)

Tuesday and Thursday I only do 200(per day)

A lot of how your 6 pack show up is down to the percentage fat content in your skin. My training partner is much stronger than me on the ab machine but you can't see his 6 pack he has a lot of fat in his skin. I have a permanent 6 pack even if I don't train,I have very low fat levels in my skin. It pisses him off . He said genetics is a huge factor.

To Have a "6-pack" you need to have below 8% Bodyfat tbh and its mainly to do with your Calorie Intake.

well defined abs are mostly acheived with cardio and healthy eating.

I only really do specific ab stuff maybe 1-2 times a week. But I run at least 4 times and eat well, so my abs are well defined

I do abs every other day.

Cause they get worked out everyday anyway when your training, jumping rope, running, and what not.

My trainer makes us do crazy ab exercises though lol. He loves dropping medicine balls on our stomachs from high places too lol. I don't know if that helps definition but it helps when you take body shots.

                    my 6 pack lol...
