  • bloody/sensitive nose

Ok so im assuming my nose has a damaged blood vessel. it all started last year when i got a bad cold. my nose was really runny and started to bleed alot out of nowhere. i was on the wrestling team so a week after i got better i went to practice and my nose would bleed during every practice and match. but not always that much.then once the season ended it stopped. that was in april 2009

2 weeks ago in sparing it started again. then last week too and sparing had to be stoped in the first round. one of the trainers said if im gunna box i have to get my nose cauterized(its when a doctor burns your blood vessel shut). My trainer said his nose bled from every little tap but he got used to it eventually. So idk if my nose is just sensitive or a broken blood vessel.

also i heard you can sniff salt water(idk about that one), or put vaseline in your nose(but then how can i breathe during sparing).

So my question is do you think the cauterization is necessary or is there another option and will my nose toughen up and stop bleeding or should i put sparing on a hold???

lol, you got an interesting problem. I say, get an appointment to see your doctor. Tell him/her about your problem and see what is the best medical way to deal about it.

Because you -will- get ******ed replies for your problem here.

If I were you I would just get it cauterized. That helped with my problem.
