  • Boxing clubs in the Atlanta area?

I know several forum members live in the Atlanta area and I was wondering if any of you know of any boxing clubs that are located in the Atlanta area?

I used to train at the Decatur Boxing Club near Atlanta but I stopped training there several months ago.

I'm interested in joining a boxing club but I would like to train under a new trainer. DBC has a good trainer but I just want to try something new.

I'm not from ATL but this should help you narrow it down if you don't get any feedback from others on here:

I'm not from Atlanta, but I went out there to fight last year. I trained at some gym called Triple Boxing. It was a nice gym.

Thanks, I know about Triple Boxing. It seems okay and I never trained there before.

The reason I trained at Decatur Boxing Club is because it is very much like a traditional boxing gym. No kick boxing or Thai boxing.

I might go back to DBC. I just wanted to train under another trainer. In hopes of learning new stuff.

Yea, I just kinda trained and did my own thing with my trainer there and sparred with some of their guys. I didn't really see how they did classes or whatever they do (I think they did boxing classes).

But it seemed like more of a Muy Thai (spelling?) type of place. The guy, Stevie, that teaches it is the real deal though. He was a cool guy I did some conditioning with him.

The owner, his name was Paveez or something like that....was a weeeird dude though man. Something about him gave me a bad vibe. We called him the Sheik behind his back lol.

It's a nice clean gym though. They have a locker room with showers and all that. 3 different rooms for training and every kind of bag you can think of.
