    Boxer's fracture

who in here have this? it's an injury in the pinkie finger. Mine never healed properly but only little pain for the past 2months but on monday it came back. And i can't clinced it anymore and all i can do with the left is pittypat punches and i can't even parry and block correctly.

It can happen to either the ring finger or pinkie. I've got mine in the ring finger. It's alright. Mine doesn't hurt whatsoever. Perhaps they didn't set your bones properly? Is it a terrible pain? Not being able to clench it sounds bad you should go to your doctor and arrange to have it xrayed.

the doctor said i should rest for 8months and let it heal but after a month i felt ok and came boxin again for 2months it felt managable but on monday this week it hurt when i landed a jab continues till now. I know i should have rested it. now i think i need a surgery to fix this.

yeah, unfortunately somtimes when you havent let it heal again the only solution is have surgery. Maybe extensive rehab can help. I know I waited about 5 good months before I did anything major with my hand. Good luck though hopefully it's not that bad. Peace

I fractured both fingers and dislocated my little finger. It took 3 trips to the hospital before they did anything. By then a month had passed, we have real **** doctors over here.

It seems as though they only care about getting their shift out of the way and going home...****s. I didn't just sit in the waiting room for 7 ****ing hours to hear "there is nothing wrong with it"

I also broke my thumb, I can no longer give the thumbs up. Guess what they said? smh...

I felt it touch my wrist. It was swollen up like an orange, call me ****** but that's broken. I didn't even get an x-ray. ****S!

It still hurts to this day.

I forgot to tell you all the best part. Because they said it was just bruised, I had to keep on working. Do you think I should go back now and say 2 years ago some **** said my thumb was just bruised, give me an x-ray, if it's broke I want £10,000!

Back on topic: When I had a boxers fracture, I used my left for everything. So it wasn't all bad.

i had it in my left hand from hitting the heavy bag with a left upper... that was a pretty crappy couple of months.

i didn't do anything with that hand and followed the doctors directions to the T bc i wanted it to heal properly.

As you know it was a pretty bad choice to go back without your doc giving it the ok.
