  • Gaining weight when trying to lose weight?

These past few days, I've been eating less and exercising more but I've gained like 1-2 pounds. Is that normal?

a couple of days of exercise wont make much difference in terms of losing fat/muscle weight. you probably just weighed yourself at different times of the day and the increase in weight can be traced too more water or food in your body

Try eating less and drinking less at night .Have a cut off time like 7pm and weigh yourself in the morning .I used to train hard at night , eat good during the day and weigh myself in the morning .If I was starving at night one or even 2 50kcal cup of soups .Because the soup was hot it would take the hunger pang away and it was light .I could do 2 pounds of mostly fat a day doing this .Maybe burnt a bit of muscle and water as well tho but that doesn't really matter . it got rid of all the excess fat easy .You can lose up to about 6 pounds of water weight in an hour session if you don't consume water through your workout .

Sorry dude but this is a bad post, you shouldn't offer people advise if it's incorrect and/or could be detrimental to their health.

muscle weights more than fat..so you may lose fat and gain muscle and gain weight

Usually when that happens you gain muscle, which weighs more than fat. But over a few days I'm not sure, you may have weighed yourself at different times.

Like last year, I had a month off training over summer and gained about 11lbs, but when I started training again by the time I got fit again I was weighing the same. Lost all the fat, but grew and gained muscle.
