This guy doesnt need any support/praise or encouragement
stop embarassing the sport any longer
btw, who here has actually fought in the ring before and not just gone into a boxing club for 1 day and have come out thinking their boxers
When I say in the ring, not no white collar rubbish, official amateur or pro stuff with at least 10fights above in the amateurs

Some of us actually do compete at a very high level.
I for one am far more impressed by a guy at the age of 41, shaking off the dust and working hard at a goal, in this case losing weight and making his way to a fight, then someone spouting off on a message board about what they are or think they are.
You see, the difference between a person like the OP and someone like you, is that while maybe you both have something to prove, in his case it is to himself, and he has done that. Pretty nobel, rewarding thing. In your case you're looking to prove or have proof from others. Not near as valuable a thing. A bit shallow.
So ya. in short. he rocks. you suck.

Yeah thanks!!!
I love it. I get a hater on my first ever fight thread (it must mean i have arrived)
My trainer the big guy reffing who gave the fight the other dude was Lou Gents trainer in the mid 90,s cracking UK Nigel Benn fight. He (my trainer)has about 250+ fights under his own belt and did say that i should have won it with a bit more effort.
Was a great day and that fight made earlier in the year helped keep me motivated to get fitter & fitter over the past few months.
White collar boxing is a blast where everybody who wants it can have a chance to taste what its like to step in the ring.
The whole point of being at a boxing gym huh?
Next local event is in April 10.
Maybe then ill get to smoke the cigar.
Thought i had it in the bag. (crowd did too)
Next time

How about none? Thats my guess, but i bet he'll say he went 200-0 in the am's and is about to turn pro.
On topic, good job man. Picking up boxing at 41 years old and then losing 54 pounds to finally get your first fight is an achievement in itself. You should be proud. It's never too late to get in shape.
