  • What's the longest time you've left boxing and gone back?

It's been a year since I trained/sparred and I've moved further away from my gym, I didn't spar n train to become a proper amateur or pro but mainly for fitness n self defence.. Is a year too long to go back to the same gym? it better to start new somewhere else? Any1 left it for a year and still got back into it?
    Thanks

2 years without training at all, just push ups, dips and sit ups everyday, and 2 years trying out mma before ultimately coming back to boxing.

I boxed 12 years old to 16years as an amateur, then had a couple of fights at 28 years old (So a 12 year break) started training again in 2008 (after an 8 year break) at 36 but no fights yet. Not boxing training much at the moment.

So as to our question about leaving it "a year" being too late that just makes me smile.
