    Sustained Knee Injury

    Hey,
About 3 months ago i badly tripped and hurt my knee, took about 1 week to recover fully, and now 2 days ago i realise a strange pain in my knee.. i am unable to bend my knee fully without being in excresiating pain, i can only bend it to a certain level.. also when i tighten the skin the pain is there ... it dosent hurt when i push around but if i tighten skin then push it... it hurts....

NOTE: ALL OF THIS PAIN IS UNDER THE KNEECAP.

You might have a ligament tear. Go to your doctor because if it is a tear it could get worse if you wait too long.

Ok thanks alot, also its right on the scar (where the cut formed when i origionally fell)

If it IS ligament damage.... What is the worst case scenario?? Its been fine for ages doing loads of exerscises... its just this last week really.

Worst case scenario is if there is a torn ligament, you'll probably need surgery and probably not be able to do intense physical activities for about 6-8 months.

But if the initial injury occurred a week ago and it just started hurting recently, then there may not even be a tear. But regardless go to your doctor anyway and find out for sure.

Maybe it's an injury that was minor when it occurred and recently you've done something to irritate it or make it worse.

But I don't want to sound like I'm a doctor, so yeah definitely get your ass over there and have it looked at.

I heard stationary bike helps regenerate cartilage, in your case I wouldn't do the eliptical either, just bicycle or swimming.
