If possible try and go to a store that specializes in running. They will look at the bottom of the shoes you wore into the store (to see the wear pattern) and watch you walk/jog in the store. They will then be able to suggest the proper type of shoe. Once you know the type you can then order on-line or search for the best price. Proper running shoes make a HUGE difference.
