  • Eating ruitine/ diet

Im interested in finding out different diets, if you do structure your meals and dont just eat randomly, care to share what seems to be working for you as well as your weight so you can tell the weight to intake ratio. Mine right now is as follows... I am currently 160 trying to get down to fighting weight at 147

Wake up eat a banana right away, as i am told this is one of the best this to stop you from burning up muscle after not eating for so long

within 20 minutes -g****fruit and oatmeal.

In about an hour- 2 hard boiled eggs.

2 hours later - canned tuna with very little lowfat mayo on two pieces of double fiber bread

2 hours later- yogurt with a shot glass full of almonds

2-3 hours later- random fruit such as apple or orange aswell as whole weat pasta

    2 hours later- steamed vegetables
1 or 2 hours later- either brown rice with beans or samon.

Dear lord, that is a great diet indeed but thats living like a monk.

I eat like a pig, though i do eat healthily also. I eat plenty of fresh fruit and veg, drink lots of water, eat leans meats, take whey supplements, multivitamins etc, but I also eat crisps with my lunch, have chocolate bars, fried food etc.

And I maintain a stable healthy weight and maintain enough energy to do cardio 2x a week and lift weights 2/3x a week.

So use trial and error to see whats best for you. I tried slimming down (I wanted a REALLY shredded look) by changing to soya milk, cutting out chocolate, snacking on brocolli etc, and it just made me feel like ****; low mood, no energy etc. It was terrible.

Just feed your body how you feel is right!

I think a scheduled meal plan is non-sensical as your nutrition requirements can vary from day to day. Have a look at Paul McKenna's eating plan, it works! Natural food is always the key, and your body will gravitate towards them anyways. Fruit, veg, fish and salad with a few nuts here and there for snacks are the way forward. Our body needs omega 3's and the sea is always full of other goodness too. Alot of Premiership footballers stock up at the seafood counters at supermarkets. For some, it seems that is all that they eat with some veg and fruit. Your five a day are essential and it is better to have a bit more just incase.
