i'm 130 pounds and i hurt a heavywieght. when i first started sparring him all i tried to do was land 1 punch. i hurt him with a clean right hand. nearly **** myself
was the heavyweight strapped to a chair with his hands tied behind his back?
Mine was last night as it goes lol Im pretty tall about 6,2 or so 6,3 with trainers, well i was sparing a shorter stocky guy, who was a stone or couple of stone heavy than me. well he kept coming in winng big hooks i kept jabbing from my southpaw stance, Well i noticed when i threw a straight left his hands come forward and his head backed away, so i cam fordward threw a right hook to get his arms away, them hit him clean with a straight left hand, his legs bukcled and fell into the ropes, then we got told to slow it down. Dam it was a punch though, i felt so good all night after that.

Today i sparred oficially for the first time in my life...I won the first round but i got tired because i was getting hit by a lot of body shots so i lost the other 2 rounds. It wasn't very pretty )= The guy was 13 pounds heavier than me.(No Excuses)
having a guy beating me, then coming back when hes tired
landing a left uppercut, straight right on a really really skilled guy that schools me regularly. hes much bigger and is just as fast/conditioned
landing perfect left hooks to the body at will, knowing that if i put real power it would hurt them badly
when the coach says good job, or people are cheering, when they compare you to pros, or compliment you
i get proud just to know some of the people ive sparred with, one of them is going to train with freddie roach soon. the fact that he knows me makes me proud, coming into the gym where he is well respected and have him walk up and give me a pound means a lot to me
last month when I sparred one of the "vets" from my gym, in the second round when he trapped me on the ropes he was missing alot of shots, as he threw a hard looping right hand i threw myself backwards on to the ropes and as i bounced back I caught him with a clean upercut right on his chin, i didn't realize how hurt he was until I circled him and as he tried to tie up i back pedalled about 5 feet and he fell flat on his face, he then got up and tried to take me out for the remainder of the second and 3rd round, he was throwing everything he possibly could as hard as he could. Im a counter puncher so I mostly dodged and blocked and jabbed him everytime I could, I wa on survival mode due to not having much experience.
