  • Lonsdale Air-mitts pics and review

I really wanted the Winning mitts and actually got a chance to try 'em on(I tried both sizes)the Winnings were Winnings, top quality as usual, but, since I ain't no world-class boxing trainer, there's no sense in paying $$$$$$ for punch mitts. I've always preferred Air-mitts over the other types mitts.

My first choice were the Ultimate Classic by Ringside(but they no longer carried them), the other was Ringside's Air-mitts, but they weren't gonna be available till middle of next month(btw-they changed the color on them and it looks great in white and red).

So, the next choice was Lonsdale Air-mitts and I have to say that I'm completely satisfied, I thought the circumference was gonna be smaller but they're a good decent size, I'd describe it as a mid-size punch mitt and the padding is excellent, and it's a full thick 3 inchof padding, sometimes the description can be a bit deceptive, but the actual size of these pads were more than I had envisioned.

          thanks so much

i wish more people would do pad reviews.....i am a air mitt fan myself due to my hands getting numb and losing finger dexterity after serious pad sessions..however they can be heavy n dont seem to last long....i have a few questions because i was thinking of getting the lonesdale or the ultimate air mitts......can anyone esle respond to what is the better of the two? and what about durability....i have used and seen different kinds of air mitts appear to have been worn out rather quickly......

for mr boxer.....i noticed the lonsdales arent round like other air mitts.....does the bottom part slam into ur wrist when they arent hit "perfectly"....also...do they have a sweet spot on them...ya know? like when they are hit just right in the right spot...n lastly......do they have a firm springy give to them or loose?..do u ever feel any discomfort with them?.....sorry if i sound ****....im just real big on details n think too damn much..lol.....please fill me in so i know what to buy.......thanks!

On average I used my mitts between 1-3 times a week, they're about 2 months old, I'd say that most of the people I do mitts with weigh between 165 up to 200+ lbs. They've held up pretty well so far and this question maybe better answered 6 months from now.

If the glove hits the bottom part of the mitts it does touch my wrist, but, I don't find this to be bothersome or irritating, there's no chafing of the skin or anything like that.

I guess the sweet spot would be the center, but, that goes with other air-mitts that I've used.

I'd say they have a firm springy give.

And nah, I don't have any discomfort with them at all, and that's why I like 'em so much!
