    Noobie training

Hey guys, Im a student up at UConn and I just joined the boxing club up here.

Right now the practices are overcrowded so the trainer makes us do a bunch of cardio like sqaut hops and shuffles for most of the 2 hours.

During practices, I start getting shin splints really bad(pain in my shins), I was wondering if there is a remedy for this and what is causing it.
(I am training with basketball shoes until my running shoes come in)

Also can you guys hook up any training routines that I can use, not like cardio but actual training.

    Thanks
